Because every functional team requires a creative savant, Music Shed Studios is proud to call Ben Lorio a staff engineer. After receiving his Associate’s degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail in Orlando, Ben returned to New Orleans to continue his studies - earning a Bachelor’s in Music Industry Studies from Loyola University New Orleans. Prior to joining the staff at Music Shed Studios in 2008, Ben was head engineer and co-owner of What Noise!? Studios, where he worked with local acts Ellipsis, Blair Gimma, and Meadow Flow. During his tenure at Music Shed Studios, Ben has worked diligently to make creative use of the varied acoustic space that the studio provides. His client list includes notable locals MyNameIsJohnMichael and Theresa Andersson. His national repertoire of clientele includes a wide variety of artists ranging from voiceover work with Nate Ruess of fun. to pre-name-change vocal overdub work with Mos Def among many others. A drummer, Ben is passionate about indie rock and hip hop and works diligently to serve and uplift the local scene.
